Burma Cyclone Nargis Donations
As many of you are probably
now aware Yangon and other parts of Myanmar at
the weekend were struck by a deadly Cyclone from
the Indian Ocean which has reportedly so far
killed 22,000 people and many more are missing.
Fortunately for us our staff,
family are all safe and not injured from the
storms although many have lost their homes which
are in general made using wood and could not
restrict the forces of Cyclone Nargis.
Temporarily we are providing shelter, food and
sleeping arrangements at the factory for the
staff whilst they rebuild their homes.
The international Aid is slow
arriving or in many cases non existent taking into
account the size and nature of the disaster and
whilst the relief AID is much
appreciated, with the size of the disaster we
have little hope that this token donation will
make little difference to the general public.
In order to assist our staff
with the rebuilding of their homes in Yangon we
would appreciate any contributions to help
rebuild our staff homes which are humble and
their life styles are simple and therefore any
contribution will be received with much
gratitude.
If contributions exceed the
rebuilding costs of their homes we would like to
extend our assistance to our immediate close
community that surrounds our factory who work in
similar industries but most probably do not have
the ability to reach out and ask for assistance.
If the donations then exceed our immediate area
we will liaise with charity organizations, UN to
ensure that help is given to those who most need
it.
If you would like to make a
contribution we would appreciate it if you could
make a contribution by Pay Pal or by deposit to
our Bank.
We appreciate all your support
on this matter
